Rathish Ambat is an Indian Filmmaker and Producer, who works predominantly in the Malayalam film industry. He has worked under the craftsmanship of the stalwarts of Malayalam cinema namely Mr. Shajoon Karyal, Mr. Laljose, Mr. Blessy, Mr. Renjith, Mr. Shyamaprasad and Mr. Shaji Kailas.

Rathish has won several accolades and numerous awards. His most popular project ‘The Great Backwaters' campaign for the Kerala Tourism board promoting the backwaters of Kerala won the Silver at the Golden Gate awards, at the Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin (ITB-Berlin) in 2015.

In 2013, Rathish Ambat co-produced the film Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal Directed by Mr. Lal Jose. Rathish made his directorial debut with the action-drama ‘Kammara Sambhavam’(2018), which won the National Film Award for Best Production Design and the Kerala State Film Awards for Best Costume Designer and Best Art Director.

Rathish Ambat's upcoming project includes an eclectic order of films such as the riveting allegory - "Theerppu" as Director and Co-producer, starring Prithviraj, Isha Talwar and Indrajit. His latest project is a Netflix Malayalam Anthology called 'Mindscapes' written by the legendary writer MT Vasudevan Nair.
